On Saturday 22 August 2009, at Castle Howard near York, the UK’s biggest ‘Last Night of the Proms’ style concert outside of Hyde Park takes place.

Jae Alexander returns to Castle Howard again this year in order to conduct the English National Orchestra through an evening of popular classics. The set includes movie themes and all the Last Night of the Prom favourites, including 1812 Overture, Rule Britannia and Land of Hope & Glory.
Soprano Janet Mooney and tenor Wynne Evans are also back by popular demand following Wynne’s breathtaking rendition of Nessun Dorma at Castle Howard last year.
Another crowd favourite and back by popular demand is pilot Flt Lieutenant Charles Brown who will be performing an amazing aerial display to music in an original WW2 Spitfire!
