Selina Shines as Malton Hotels watch her Light the Town with Christmas Illuminations

Guests staying at our Malton hotels were pleased to see former television presenter Selina Scott pull all the crowds as she threw the switch on the spectacular Christmas illuminations in Malton.
Scarborough-born Ms Scott, who has a home in near one of a Malton hotel, switched on the lights yesterday and then marked the town’s links with author Charles Dickens by opening a tribute display.
Pickering’s festive lights are due to be switched on by Santa at 4.45pm today and Norton’s at 6pm.
The ceremony in Thornton-le-Dale is next Saturday at 6pm but the festivities begin at 4pm
