Eden Camp Open it’s Doors Free Of Charge to Rescue Services
08th Dec 2008
An award-winning attraction is throwing open its doors to give members of the emergency services free entry.
Eden Camp Modern History Museum, near our Malton hotels, already hosts free open days for military veterans and year-round discounted entry for members of HM Forces as part of the Heroes Welcome scheme.
Now the museum is offering an Early Christmas Gift to all members of North Yorkshire’s Fire and Rescue Service, the police and ambulance services with free admission during the next three weekend.
Accompanying family members will be entitled to discounted entry of £2 per person.
Nick Hill, museum director, told the Malton Mercury: “This year hasn’t been a brilliant one for any of us, what with rising fuel costs in the first half of the years and then the impact of the credit crunch.
“However in recognition of the role undertaken by the emergency services, we would like to extend an Early Christmas Gift to all North Yorkshire-based emergency services personnel, some of whom will be on duty while the rest of us enjoy the festive break.”
The free entry offer applies this coming weekend, on December 13 and 14 and December 20 and 21, after which the museum closes for the Christmas break.
